TAD NewsDesk, New Delhi: To continue the resistance against the new Farm Bills, farmers Union have declared another nationwide road strike on November 5 against the new farm Bills passed in the last month.
At a meeting held in Delhi, more than 500 constituent holding farmer federations and organizations met and came to this unanimous decision. Some of the prominent presences were of All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee’s entire working individuals led by Balbir Singh Rajewal, BKU of Rajewal and Gurnam Singh, BKU chief of Haryana.
According to a statement by AIKSCC, several other decisions were taken beside the strike and an agreement of solidarity have been agreed upon. They will cooperate and have complete coordination among all thee federations and all other organizations which are rising against the “three anti-farmer, anti-people Farm Bills as well as the Central government’s Electricity (Amendment Bill) 2020”.
The statement also noted that there would be an All India road strike on 5th of November and a protest named “Delhi Chalo” which would be held on 26th-27th of November.
There would be mass mobilization in these strikes and they aim to scrape these three bills. This whole movement would be coordinated by a coordination body formed for this purpose.
The body would be responsible to coordinate both the protests of 5th November and 26th and 27th November. The core body of the committee has the following leaders:
- Balbir Singh Rajewal
- Raju Shetty
- Gurnam Singh
- VM Singh
- Yogendra Yadav
The central government’s stopping of the Punjab good’s train was vehemently condemned at the meeting. On October 21st announcement was made that good trains will be exempted from the ‘rail roko’ protest but the railway government has yet not allowed passage to the good trains services fearing the impact of protest.
