TAD NewsDesk, Maharashtra: Indusland Bank’s subsidiary firm Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd (BFIL) has come together with Maharashtra government to provide for livestock care and facilitate doorstep delivery to the farmers.
‘Maha Pashudhan Sanjeevani’ initiative to be joined with Mukhyamantri Pashu Swasthya Yojana of the government to implement this mission. Vetenary services also to be made available at just one phone call and the toll-free number 1962 will be operational from January 2021.
In the presence of Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Minister Sunil Kedar, Sports and Youth Minister Anoop Kumar and officials of the state government and IndusInd Bank, BFIL signed the agreement to contribute towards this initiative. This would be part of its corporate social responsibility plan.
The first phase of the initiative will serve farmers in 81 talukas located in 31 districts of Maharashtra, which has a total cattle population of 1.96 crore.

Animal husbandry has been an integral part of the agriculture sector. In India along with the seasonal crops many farmers depend on rearing of animals for their livelihood. Besides them there are farmers who are just rearing animals. Hence, it is important that the livestock of the country is taken care of and this initiative is a step forward in the direction.
