TAD NewsDesk, New Delhi: The Central government has proposed to set up a committee to look into the issues against the new farm laws. This motion was rejected by 35 agitating organizations with three Union ministers. The discussion remained inconclusive.
Another round of discussion is proposed to happen on the 3rd of December, 2020.
According to sources, all the organizations unanimously supported the decision to scrape off the three laws and that is one of the important concerns of the whole community.
The protesting farmers have been making a hue and cry about the objectives of the three centre farm laws which they claim to be the dismantling of the minimum support price system and the mandi system.
The Centre is, on the other hand, claiming this to be an agricultural revolution. This laws will bring in more opportunities and development to the sector according to them.
At the nearly three-hour-long meeting at Vigyan Bhawan here, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was accompanied by Railways and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Parkash, also an MP from Punjab.
Tomar said,
“We are ready for a discussion to resolve their issues. Let”s see.”
