TAD NewsDesk, Andhra Pradesh: K. Kannababu, Minister for Agriculture, Andhra Pradesh has said that they have initiated the second phase of Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan scheme. In this second phase, on 27th of October, 2020, more than 50 lakh farmers have been extended financial aid of Rs 1,114 crore.
Mr Kannababu said that the transfer of money to the bank accounts of the farmers was done by the Chief Minister, Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy at one click of a button at 11 Am.
The minister added that in the first phase aid was provided to 46 lakh farmers and in the second phase it has increased to 50.47 lakh.
The government has already aided an amount of Rs 113.11 crore to help farmers with substantial losses due to the floods and rains in the districts like Visakhapatnam, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, East Godavari, West Godavari, Kurnool, Kadapa and Anantapur. Moreover, for horticulture farmers, an input subsidy of Rs 22.59 crore was released.
The agriculture minister also talked about the forest land rights given to farmers in the Agency areas on 2nd of October, they will also be aided with the benefit of the scheme.
