TAD NewsDesk, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh government is planning to provide millions of jobs to youths in fish farming. The sector is full of potential for development and required more hands to process. Yogi government sees it as a venture which could contribute highly to the development of the state and its economy.
As per the government officials, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is planning on launching a lot of beneficiary schemes through the department of fisheries. It will not only boost the sector of fisheries as such but also will help make the unemployed youths self reliant.
This will also help to increase the income of the village panchayat from the ponds prepared on the barren Panchayati land in the village.
The government is working on expanding this business on a larger scale. Farmers would be able to enhance their income by doing farming as well as by investing in the fisheries. Adequate training is also to be provided in knowing the sector as has been planned by the government.
Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana’ the government has already started its ‘free fishermen accident insurance scheme’ to mark the onset of the coming other developments in the sector. Under this scheme, 2215 fishermen have been allotted houses in the state in the last four years.
Moreover, the launch of the fish farmer app has made the process far more easier.
In addition, farmers are directly getting the benefit from the construction of 57 fish seed hatcheries as well as 385 fish seed rearing units in Uttar Pradesh.
Because of its excellent leadership and showing the path towards development UP has received first prize of the best state of inland fisheries.
