TAD NewsDesk, Hyderabad: The state government is ready to release the pending arrears amounting to about Rs 65 crore towards the financial incentive of Rs 4 per litre being provided to dairy farmers in the State. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao asserted that the release of funds would happen after March 18 and this would benefit around 60,000 dairy farmers in the state.
Gutha Jithender Reddy, Nalgonda Ranga Reddy Milk Producers Mutually Aided Cooperative Union Limited (Narmacs) chairman and Karimnagar Dairy chairman Ch Rajeshwara Rao called on Rama Rao, Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy sought this release to aid the financial aid given to the farmers.
They said that for the two financial years of 2019-20 and 2020-21, payment of about Rs 65 crore to dairy farmers was pending including Rs 24 crore for Narmacs, Rs 28 core for Karimnagar Dairy and Rs 13 crore for Mulukanoor Women’s Mutually Aided Milk Producers Cooperative Union Limited.
Jithender Reddy appreciated the efforts by all the ministers and said,
“All the Ministers have responded positively and assured to take up the issue with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Rama Rao assured that the pending arrears will be released after March 18.”
Now the release of the pending amount is eagerly awaited to aid the farmers.
