Unium Bioscience supplies crop inputs based on plant physiology research. The company says it links academic research with commercial agriculture, and names Dr Nigel Grech and John Haywood as its founders.

Its portfolio is split into biologicals, biostimulants, fertiliser enhancements, nutrients, seed treatments and signalling compounds. Its biologicals, Tarbis and Tiros, use bacterial endophyte strains identified at the University of Washington, which the company says help crops fix nitrogen and take up phosphorus and zinc. Other named products include Calfite Extra, Kirol, Luxical, Luxor, Wholly K, Nfinity, Voltek and Twoxo. The site also offers nitrogen, phosphate and potassium calculators for growers, and describes Tarbis as approved by OF&G for use in organic systems.
