Organic Farmers & Growers (OF&G) is an organic control body that inspects and certifies organic farms, growers and food businesses across Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, the company says. It is an approved UK certification body listed by Defra, with the code GB-ORG-02. It also offers inspection and certification for the Pasture for Life mark, commercial composting, the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme for the product of anaerobic digestion, the Woodland Carbon Code and the Peatland Code.

OF&G was formed in 1973 as a marketing cooperative for organic produce and says it became the first UK organic certification body approved by the Government in 1992. It says it certifies more than 1,400 farmers, who farm more than half of the UK’s organic land, and works from offices near Shrewsbury in Shropshire.
