INDOCERT is a certification body for organic and sustainable agriculture and describes itself as India’s first indigenous certification body. Its operators include primary producers, processors, traders and exporters, the company says. It certifies under India’s National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) for crop production, including grower groups, processing, mushrooms, trade and wild collection, and offers EU, Canadian (COR), Japanese (JAS), GB and USDA NOP organic certification services.

It also certifies or verifies against sustainability standards including Rainforest Alliance, trustea, 4C, UEBT, Naturland, HORTICERT and castor sustainability programmes, and runs HACCP and JAS training. INDOCERT was incorporated in October 2001 as a nonprofit membership organisation by NGOs and farmer producer associations, and is based in Aluva, Ernakulam district, Kerala.
