NFU Mutual offers farm insurance for small farms, large farms and agricultural contractors, the company says. Its Farm Essentials policy is for farms under 50 hectares with farming income of up to £85,000 a year, and Farm Select is for larger, diversified or intensive farming operations, with cover for buildings, contents, stock, livestock, liability and loss of income. It also insures tractors, harvesters, crop treatment vehicles, quad bikes and trailers, and offers smallholder and viticulture cover.
The insurer says it has more than 115 years of farming knowledge and a network of more than 280 agency offices. As a mutual it is owned by its members rather than shareholders. Its registered office is in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. It also sells motor, home, business and pet insurance and investment and pension products.
