Germinal supplies grass, clover and forage seed mixtures for agriculture, and seed for the amenity sector. The company says it is part of the Openfolde Group, operates directly in Great Britain and Ireland, and has working partnerships in more than 25 countries.
Its agricultural range is sold as five Climate Smart mixture ranges for livestock farmers: CLEAN, built on Aber High Sugar Grasses; CAPTURE and RESTORE, which contain nitrogen-fixing clovers; THRIVE, aimed at soil fertility and structure; and ADAPT, for pastures under drought and temperature stress. The company says the ranges are intended to lower livestock emissions and fertiliser use. Germinal Horizon is its research and development division. Germinal GB Ltd is based at Witham St Hughs, near Lincoln.
