TAD NewsDesk, Haryana: National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) has disseminated 95 cotton plucking devices among the farmers in Haryana. Under the Corporate Social Responsibility, the company has distributed these machines free of cost.
The machines were distributed in Haryana on 15th of October, 2020. It has been done so under 2 programs:
- One in Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Hisar.
- Other in Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Bhiwani.
Chairman and Managing Director of the company, Virendra Nath Dutt was the chief guest of both the programs.
The Managing Director also gave a speech about the social responsibility programs under which the company has disseminated the machines. A demonstration was also held to show the use of the Cotton plucking devices to help farmers have an idea about the procedure to operate them.
In the program, Anil Motsara, Chief General Manager Marketing and Dilbag Singh, Zonal Manager of Chandigarh Office of the company were also present.
The machines distributed by the company will make the process of plucking very less time consuming and more efficient. Till now the company has already disseminated around 500 machines throughout the country to help farmers make the process more efficient. The distribution has significantly been done in the states of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Punjab etc.
Cotton is one of the most significant fibre and cash crop of the country. It also plays a crucial role in the economy and agricultural capital of the country. Hence the distribution of machines like this is a step towards development of the efficient process of production of cotton in the country.
