ADAMA Ltd. (SZSE: 000553), a global crop protection company, announced on 29 September 2026 the launch in India of Rexaro, a broad-spectrum foliar fungicide for speciality crops. The announcement was issued from Beijing and Tel Aviv.
The company says Rexaro combines two complementary modes of action and is designed to provide preventive and early curative activity against key Oomycete diseases. It is aimed at grape, potato and vegetable growers. ADAMA’s release does not name the active ingredients. According to trade publication Global Agriculture, the product is a suspension concentrate of fluopicolide 17.54% w/w and cymoxanil 21.05% w/w.
What ADAMA claims
ADAMA says field trials conducted in India showed efficacy against downy mildew in grapes and cucumber and against late blight in potatoes. It says the product also has activity against tomato root rot and downy mildew in brassicas and onions. The release does not publish trial results, the number of trial sites or who ran the trials, and these efficacy statements are the company’s own.
The company says the liquid formulation, based on its Ayalon technology, improves spreading and penetration through the leaf cuticle, offers rainfastness and disperses well in tank mixes.
Growers need solutions that not only deliver effective disease control, but also perform reliably under real-world field conditions.

ADAMA said Rexaro is also planned for launch in Ghana for use in cacao.
Regulatory status and what is not disclosed
The release does not state Rexaro’s registration status with India’s Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIB&RC), the crops on its Indian label or a registration number, and TAD could not confirm the registration independently. ADAMA also did not disclose pricing, pack sizes, the states where it will sell first, sales targets or where the product is manufactured. Indian Chemical News reported the launch on 5 October with the same company claims.
Rexaro is ADAMA’s second India launch announcement in September. On 22 September 2026 the company announced Actagon, a pre-emergence herbicide for wheat that combines pyroxasulfone and metribuzin and targets Phalaris minor, with the launch focused on Punjab and Haryana. That release stated that Actagon is registered in India, with launch expected in September 2026.
TAD’s reading
- For competing fungicide makers: Downy mildew and late blight products for grapes, potatoes and vegetables are a crowded shelf. A two-mode-of-action pitch puts resistance management at the centre of ADAMA’s channel message, and rivals can expect to be compared on that point.
- For distributors and retailers: The global release is not the label. The crops and uses approved by CIB&RC will decide what Rexaro can legally be sold for, and that detail is missing from the launch material.
- For investors: Two India launch announcements a week apart, one herbicide for a cereal and one fungicide for speciality crops, show ADAMA putting new products into India across segments. The company has given no revenue expectations for either.
