TAD News Desk, New Delhi: Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar stated that the centre has been keen to provide technological support to farmers and thus, has created an infrastructure development fund of 1 lakh crore. 10,000 crores of the development fund, is to go for the food processing units.
Mr. Tomar addressed farmers of Bihar gathered at the BJP office through video conferencing from Delhi and, assured the farmers of the agriculture bills passed in the parliament to orient the agricultural practices on par with the global counterparts. These agricultural practices with the use of latest technologies would benefit the farmers of the country and Bihar as well to increase their income.
MS Swaminathan Commission had made recommendations regarding the new mode of agricultural practices, but the UPA government at the centre failed to implement them, said Narendra Tomar.
He also emphasized on Bihar being the first state to abolish APMC (Agriculture produce market committee) act, to let the farmers enter directly into the market.
BJP state president Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal reminded everyone of the PM Modi’s adherence to double the farmer’s income.
