TAD News Desk, New Delhi:
Farmers decided to peacefully protest CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s April 14 visit to Badoli village in Sonepat. Amidst the growing resentment against the three controversial bills, Haryana CM Manohar Khattar’s visit to Badoli village of Sonepat district will meet with resistance from the Samyukt Kisan Morcha.
Sarv Jatiya Sarv Khap Panchayat which was held by Hawa Singh at the Antil Khap Dharna site decided to oppose the visit.
“It was unanimously decided in the panchayat that the CM’s visit to Badoli village of the Rai Assembly on April 14 will be opposed peacefully,” Rakesh Tikait of Samyukta Kisan Morcha said.
The reason for this visit is the inauguration of a state-wide program by the Government on the birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar which falls on April 14. The program is designed after the Government is facing the wrath of farmers across the state due to the agricultural laws introduced by the centre.
Maintaining their stance on the CM’s visit to inaugurate the eight district-level programmes, Tikait said “they were not against the unveiling of the Ambedkar’s statue, but the CM’s visit.”
To maintain a pro-Dalit position, the State Government is trying to introduce these programmes to initiate direct communication despite the ongoing protests.
