TAD News Desk, New Delhi: Maximum retail price of NP fertilizers which contain Nitrogen and Superphosphate is reduced by rs.50 by the fertilizers co-operative major IFFCO, to rs.925/bag of 50kg with immediate effect on Wednesday.
This reduction in the rates of NP fertilizers will meet out the plan envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to double the farmer’s income by the end of the year 2022. This reduction in Nitrogen-Superphosphate fertilizer is in alignment with the current endeavours to reduce the agricultural input cost for farmers.
IFFCO said that its aim would be to reduce prices of agricultural products in order to help farmers reduce the input cost, whenever and wherever possible.
U S Awasthi, Managing Director and CEO of IFFCO cooperative tweeted that, “We are glad to announce the reduction of INR50/bag in the price of #NP 20:20:0:13 fertilizers across India with immediate effect on all stocks.”
Price of Sulphur, a key input nutrient for soils and crop production in agriculture has been reduced by INR1000 per tones to facilitate the farmers to grow more and more of agricultural produce and to strengthen the farmer’s economy.
IFFCO has been reducing prices of various elements necessary to agricultural production to facilitate farmers. Recently, it has reduced prices of NPK and DAP fertilizers.
