PM Modi marked the continuity of the PM-KISAN scheme with the release of over 18,000 crore

Nine crore farmers to be the beneficiary of the scheme

TAD NewsDesk, New Delhi: PM Modi marked the continuity of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ (PM-KISAN) scheme with the release of Rs 18,000 crore to more than nine crore farmer farmers. Modi enabled the mass transfer of the money in one go. BJP aimed at a mass outreach with an interaction with the farmers of the PM.

Modi released the instalment of Rs 2,000 to every farmer on the birth anniversary of the former prime minister and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which is every year celebrated as “Good Governance Day” by the ruling party.

As a beneficiary of the PM- KISAN scheme a farmer gets a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year which is divided into an equal instalment of Rs 2,000 each.

The programme has been initiated at a time when the whole country is raging with the fire of the farmers protest against the three laws made by the Central government recently.
