TAD NewsDesk, New Delhi: New range of low maintenance, energy efficient SP coupled pump-sets, launched by Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. (KBL), would find applications in Dewatering and effluent treatment plants. This new launch fitted with IE4 motor makes the SP coupled Pump-sets best suited for ETP/STP, draining foundations, trenches and pits, handling rain and floodwater, pumping out water from basements, parking lots, highways etc. It also finds application in handling light effluents such as ash water in the industry.
The pump’s safety is ensured by the robust design that can withstand extreme power fluctuations. Machine operates on lower life cycle and low operating cost. It also has easy operability, lower maintenance and service. The strong body of the pump increases longevity and has higher reliability.
Mr. Suman Chakraborty, Associate vice president & Head-small pump business KBL, said that, “Kirloskar brothers make – IE4 motor makes this pump highly energy efficient, which consumes 14 percent less energy for pumping same amount of fluid. Higher reliability is ensured with robust and rugged design. These pumps have easy operability.”
Fan and fan cover in the pump is the prime feature which reduce the noise and optimize power consumption. Quality of the mechanical seal reduces friction, eliminates leakage and, protects shaft from wear and tear.
Liquids with temperature up to 120 degree Celsius can be dealt easily with these pumps. Suspended soft solids up to 40mm can be handled with the non-clog impeller which is coated with CED (Cathodic Electro Deposition) for corrosion resistance. Testing and assembling has been done in the order that it is ready for use directly at customer site. Servicing of these pumps can be done on authorized KBL centres.
