The biggest problem, which has been faced by farmers in Rajasthan and across the country, is to sell their crops in the market. Many times the farmer and especially the small farmer who sows his produce in low holdings, does not feel comfortable selling the crop by taking it to the mandi. The young entrepreneurs of Rajasthan have started this new business idea and created employment for thousands of farmers.
The idea originated in Sanjay Agarwal who is the founder of Apna Bhandar along with Anil Modi and has brought the market to the farmer’s farm.
The title of the first online notified market of the country is also in the account of these young entrepreneurs of Rajasthan. The government is also appreciating their initiative. The Rajasthan government and the central government have also extended their help towards them.
Mr Agarwal said that they have given the market for global procurement to the farming of the farmer. this is a step for taking the mandi to his farm.
Sanjay Agarwal, a banker had this idea while working in the banking sector.
Moreover, the Rajasthan government and the Indian government helped, due to which the startup has done the task of selling more than 10 crores of farmers’ crop even when all the mandis were closed in the people down.
Mr Anil Modi, the co-founder of Apna Godown said about the initiative of converting closed factories and cement godowns into grain godowns. This allows the farmer to store crops in the vicinity. If for some reason and if you do not get the right price, then at that time, he is not wanting to sell the crop.
